This study is conducted within the third-year course Research Project 3 of the Psychology Programme of the Radboud University. Within this course, we investigate the evaluation of short videoclips and the role of participant characteristics on these evaluations. Fluent command of the German language is obligatory for participation. The study takes place in two sessions. In the first session, you will be asked to watch a series of short video clips showing different people making various kinds of statements that are directed at you. After each video, you will be asked to briefly evaluate it. In the second session, ideally one to max. two days. later, you will complete a few short questions in English about e.g., mother tongue, proficiency in German, age, gender, and education. Afterwards, you will complete a computer task in which you are asked to sort pictures of people in various ways. The total participation time is about 2 x 45 minutes. You can choose to receive either 1.5 Sona credits or €15 as compensation. Participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any time without negative consequences.
