Registration and data protection
You can register as an interested party for our research via the registration form. After your registration we will contact you and you will receive more information. After receiving this information, you can of course always indicate whether or not you want to participate. For this registration it is necessary that some personal data is collected, used and stored. In order to contact you, we ask you for your name, telephone number and email address. In addition, we also ask about your age, gender and highest level of education, because we need people from different backgrounds to conduct the research as well as possible.
We will keep this personal data in a secure database, separate from the research data. It is only accessible to a limited group of authorized members of our research team for whom it is necessary. The data will never be used for purposes other than those mentioned in this information. In all cases, your research data will be protected in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You will be asked to give permission for this. If you do not want this, you cannot register for this study.
Future research
After participating in research at the DCC, we may want to approach you again for future research from our research line neuro- and rehabilitation psychology. You can indicate whether you agree with this on the registration form on the next page . If you agree, your name, address, e-mail address and possibly your telephone number will be stored in our secure test subject database. Again, this data can only be viewed by authorized members of the research team involved. For this future study, too, participation is always voluntary and you will be asked for your consent every time you participate in a new study.
Retention period data
Your personal data name, e-mail address and telephone number will be stored for the duration of the project, which is for a maximum of 3 years. If you indicate that you are also willing to participate in future research, we will keep your data for 5 years. After this, we will destroy the data, or contact you again if you are still interested in participating in scientific research. You can always indicate that you want to be removed from the database, but it is not necessary to state why you want to be removed. You can do this by sending a message to Onderzoeknrp@ru.nl. Other data, namely your age, education level and gender, are stored with the research data in a secure location for 10 years. However, you cannot be identified on the basis of this information.
