Study: Human and LLM Reasoning in Team Games
Institution: Donders Centre for Cognition, Radboud University
Researcher: Benjamin Kempinski, Department of Artificial Intelligence
Time required: approximately 10–15 minutes (you may stop after any scenario)
Ethics approval: ECSW-LT-2026-3-3-38831
What you will do
You will be shown snapshots from a social deduction game (Secret Mafia / Werewolf) and asked how you would reason and act in each situation. No live game, no other players — just you reading a game state and answering a few questions. Each scenario takes about 3–5 minutes.
You do not need prior experience with Mafia or Werewolf. If you are unfamiliar with the game, read the rules here before continuing: Secret Mafia Rules
